JBA-led consortium successfully appointed to Emergency Preparedness Framework
JBA 4 Resilience
We are exceptionally pleased to confirm our appointment to the Environment Agency’s Emergency Preparedness Framework. Set to run until Summer 2028 with the option of a further year extension, this appointment follows on from our success as sole supplier to the EA’s predecessor framework, Incident Management Training and Exercising (IMTE) since 2018.
We have again assembled an expanded JBA 4 Resilience consortium of dedicated and like-minded organisations led by JBA. Our well-established framework consortium comprises partners Training 4 Resilience (T4R) and Crown Media, joined this time by Transform E-Learning and the University of Hull.
What will this involve?
As a Category 1 Responder within the Civil Contingencies Act, the EA must prepare for and protect people and communities potentially impacted by flooding, drought and pollution incidents. As part of the new framework, we will provide support via Lot 2, providing services to train and exercise the EA’s national cohort of incident duty officers. This will involve the development, review, improvement and delivery of accreditable standards of:
- virtual classroom training
- physical classroom training
- eLearning
- virtual exercises
- physical exercises
- simulated exercises/gamification/serious games
Building on experience
Our exceptional track record speaks for itself, and throughout the last 6 years as part of the JBA 4 Resilience consortium, JBA has developed courses in operational, tactical, strategic and recertification emergency management skills, ConOps and incident wellbeing training, delivering these on over 78 occasions to over 530 delegates. We have also designed and delivered exercises for testing response to extreme flooding and drought.
"We are delighted with our reappointment to support the EA in providing training and exercising to their national cohort of incident responders, a testament to hard work and commitment of our entire team over the past 6 years of delivery. Our highly experienced and skilled consortium team looks forward to further enhancing the variety and quality of training and exercising opportunities available to improve the EA’s readiness to respond."
Phil Emonson, Framework Director, JBA Consulting
"Building on such a successful six-year partnership, we are excited to continue supporting the EA in developing and delivering their expanding range of emergency planning training and exercising. Our multi-talented consortium is excited to bring our people, innovative ideas and industry learning to support the EA’s ambitious programme of work."
Toby Jones, Framework Manager, JBA Consulting
"We are thrilled to be supporting the EA for up to five years, working closely with our consortium partners to continue building and enhancing the successful training and exercising programme that enables the EA incident duty officers to respond with knowledge, skill and confidence."
Bev Osborne, Partner at Training 4 Resilience
