Who we are
We are leaders in understanding climate impacts, climate services, decision support tools, climate risk assessments and adaptation planning. We support clients to meet the requirements of national policies, industry standards, and climate-related disclosure frameworks, providing the expertise to help you build resilience.
Understanding climate risks
Understanding climate risks, as well as opportunities, begins with understanding how climate works: how climate is different to weather, how to distinguish climate change from natural variability, how climate is modelled using supercomputing and AI, and how climate projections are made. Our weather and climate experts have the knowledge and experience to support you to manage and prepare for the current and future climate.
Quantifying risks and taking action
We're experts at using weather forecasts and climate projections to identify the impacts to your organisation, environment, infrastructure and communities. By drawing on all of JBA's expertise, we can quantify risks and support you in taking action.
Developing adaptation pathways
Good adaptation saves lives and resources, reduces harmful impacts and allows societies, environments and organisations to flourish and enhance their value chains. We offer a 'full spectrum' of advice from risk identification and prioritisation, through to developing and helping to implement adaptation pathways.
We offer a programme of tutor-led courses in partnership with Climate Sense, that guide you to develop a climate adaptation plan aligned to the ISO14090 standard. Find out more here.
